Notes on baseline (pre-requisites, etc.)

  • All young people will be identified by recording their target group and their ward and school.
  • All young people regardless of their ability can achieve accreditation at Level 1
  • All students can at least rely on experience of qualified coaches / leaders for correct support
  • Developmental issues (such as fast tracking to higher levels) will be covered in activity-specific modules for all young people.
  • Ditto "gross" sociological factors
  • (Possible that young people from other Junior Youth Club programmes may be suitable as 'partners' in similar activities: check, and ensure they have access to interact and meet)
  • All mentors to meet and discuss all individual and group needs to aid social inclusion and learning processess

Required outcomes:(students will be able to...)

  1. Each young person will be given the opportunity informally to evaluate their experience through a session evaluation form completed by the supervising adults for each event.
  2. We will provide recordings for all sessions delivered with evidence of numbers engaged and individual recorded outcomes.
  3. We will provide regular progress reports to youth service senior manager regarding work done and outcomes / achievements against agreed goals.
  4. Our mentors will make confidential diaries of the individuals and will integrate with the CAF (if required)to highlight any behavioural changes that may further aid evaluation.

Summative assessment

  • We will measure success by the number of individuals (youths and parents) who not only attend but attend on a regular basis and provide positive feedback from our evaluation questionnaire.
  • We will measure the level of success by the number of youths and parents who progress to attend one of the club programmes and integrate with established club members.
  • Recordings for all sessions delivered with evidence of numbers engaged and individual recorded outcomes.
  • Voluntary recorded outcomes offered to each young person, although this is not mandatory it is hoped that the majority of beneficiaries will gain a recorded outcome.

Special Issues

  • Check lifts are available and working to accomodate those with difficulty on stairs.
  • Selection criteria and membership established with a waiting list prior to official start of programme
  • Numbers to be restricted to 16 to allow up to 8 more young people to be added via outside referrals
